CAKE IS FOR LIFE NOT JUST FOR BIRTHDAYS
Absolutely true! How many people exist on this planet who eat cake only on birthdays? I think you can count them on your fingers. The max that I have been without gorging on a slice(s) of cake is a fortnight (too long I would say). To ensure that I bake a cake at least once a month specifically a bundt one, I am part of a group called #BundtBakers. Every month one of us becomes a host and chooses a theme and we all bake and share our recipes on our respective blogs. What fun :D
My husband is a sweetaholic, he just can't stay away from anything that has got sugar in it. Still there are only few desserts that he goes ga ga for, if you know what I mean. This Coconut, Cardamom and Orange has become one of his favorite cakes. Infact, you bake it and it will be yours too.
Life is great. Cheese makes it better.

For those of you with less of a sweet tooth or even for those who keep gorging on anything and everything that's got sugar in it, these sesame topped cheese cookies are a welcome change. Made with cheddar cheese and sprinkled with powdered chilli, sesame seeds and some more cheese, you can have them anytime of the day, in between meals and even with a cup of tea or coffee.
It does not happen very often that a recipe developed by me works perfectly.....the first time itself! :D and that is exactly what happened when I made these Orange and Rosemary Muffins.
If you fall in the category of people who like soft, pillowy sort of cupcakes or those who search for the calorie count listing rather than drooling over the food photos, then these are not for you. With evaporated milk, condensed milk and heavy cream brushed on the cupcakes, these are quite moist and laden with yummy gooeyness :)
Cookies are one of the foods that can be enjoyed anytime....start your day with them or end it enjoying them with a glass of milk. I bet you will sleep better with sweet dreams, literally :D
Live life with a little spice
Spices make everything taste and smell so good. Use any spice in cooking or baking and you don't need a potpourri at home. Since the time I started cooking and eventually baking, never has gone by a day when I haven't used at least one spice. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, spices is an integral and inseparable part of my dishes.
