Around a year back, I had enrolled for a short three hour course to learn basic cake decoration skills. Though the course was not of much help, my practice did pay off. I had recently made this cake for one of my friend's marriage anniversary. I was so happy with my work, I felt I ought to share this creation of mine with you guys.
This cake is actually a sandwich cake made of two vanilla sponges filled with Chocolate Buttercream. It has then been iced with crusty chocolate buttercream. These beautiful and delicious looking roses are piped with crusty buttercream as well. These roses would also look very pretty when placed individually on cupcakes that have been already covered with a thin layer of buttercream. I am planning to try that soon and will keep you posted on how it went. Till then....
